WellBe is a unique project that focuses on providing efficient and flexible workspace that goes beyond work and the building itself, granting users a pleasant working environment whilst fostering collaboration.
The building makes smart architectural and technological choices that naturally enhance the wellbeing of the users. It is… as smart as nature.
The project benefits from scenic views of the surrounding landscaped area as well as the river which makes it very appealing.
We are very fortunate and happy that we have been involved in the design team of the WellBe project. It is an opportunity to design a functional and modern sustainable office building with floating gardens that will be a landmark in Lisbon.
WellBe aims at exceeding current market standards in Portugal. Whether it is in terms of flexibility, sustainability or its carbon footprint, WellBe will bring a new benchmark to the comfort and well-being of its occupiers. The building will be certified ADENE grade A, BREEAM Excellent and Passive House to confirm its sustainable construction and reduced carbon footprint*. Moreover, it aims at being the first new building in the Lisbon office market to achieve the WELL Platinum certification, which confirms its orientation towards the wellbeing of its users.
*BREEAM and WELL certification may be influenced by some choice of the occupier.
WellBe gave us the opportunity to demonstrate that a decarbonized future is possible. Indeed, it will become the largest Passive House, BREEAM and WELL project in Portugal. We used cutting-edge design tools, such as parametric design, that use natural light to shape the building. This was quite a thrilling architectural feat.
